Regener8 Resources explores strategic metals near Srebrenica
Australian company Regener8 Resources has completed the fourth phase of soil sampling for its ‘Srebrenica North’ project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The exploration covers approximately 74.25 square kilometers in the eastern part of Republika Srpska.
To date, the company has collected over 1,000 soil samples across the Dolovi and Vagan areas. These efforts aim to identify specific locations with high concentrations of metals to determine the best sites for initial exploratory drilling. Previous testing has indicated three geochemical anomalies containing silver, zinc, lead, and antimony.
While these results suggest potential ore deposits, the company noted that the presence of commercially viable quantities has not yet been confirmed. The focus on antimony is particularly notable due to its strategic importance in the defense industry, where it is used in ammunition, alloys, and electronic components. The exploration aligns with broader efforts by Western nations to secure critical raw materials and reduce dependence on limited global suppliers.
