Regenerative Design 2026 to feature Elora Hardy and adaptive reuse discussions
The Regenerative Design 2026 event in London will feature a keynote address by Elora Hardy, founder of the design studio IBUKU. Hardy, known for her work with bamboo construction in Bali, will speak at the Building Centre on October 5.
In conjunction with the broader movement toward regenerative architecture, a seminar titled ‘Whole life carbon and adaptive reuse’ will address the environmental benefits of retrofitting existing buildings. The session aims to discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to adaptive reuse, such as funding and viability, as an alternative to the high rate of building demolition in the UK.
