Regensburg security firm fined for extensive social‑insurance violations

Investigations by the Finanzkontrolle Schwarzarbeit (FKS) of the Hauptzollamt Regensburg uncovered large breaches of German social‑insurance law by a security company operating in Landkreis Regensburg. Between December 2022 and September 2023, the firm failed to register employees for social insurance in 57 cases, causing a loss of €31,511.39 to the insurance system, which was later fully repaid.

Two company officials were convicted by the Landgericht Regensburg and sentenced to fines of 90 and 180 daily rates, amounting to a total penalty of €7,200. The case highlights the authorities’ focus on illegal employment practices and the importance of proper social‑insurance contributions for fair competition.
