Regent Pharmacy opens new Shanklin premises after £500,000 investment

Regent Pharmacy has officially opened its new premises at 70-74 Regent Street in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The relocation from a smaller site across the road followed a three-year project involving over £500,000 in investment and thousands of hours of work.

To facilitate the move, staff transferred approximately 117,000 boxes of medication over a single weekend. Owner Gary Warner described the opening as “exceptionally challenging” due to initial technical difficulties with printers and telephone systems, though IT support resolved the printing issues within 45 minutes.

The expanded facility is designed to improve patient flow, provide more queuing space, and offer seating for customers, alongside new facilities for staff. While some customers praised the increased space and service, others noted that the new building is noisier than the previous location.
