Regent Properties plans 303 homes for former Los Angeles radio site

Regent Properties has submitted planning applications to develop a 19-acre vacant radio transmitter site in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles into a residential community. The proposed project at 12755 Burbank Blvd. includes 303 homes, consisting of a mix of two-story single-family homes, three-story duplexes, and townhomes.

The development plan also features a 20,500-square-foot park. Of the 303 planned homes, 14 are designated for very low-income buyers. This allocation may allow the developer to seek a density bonus and a CEQA exemption to expedite the process.

The site has a long history as a broadcasting hub, having housed KMPC and later KSPN since 1942. While The Walt Disney Co. sold the KSPN license to Good Karma Brands in 2021, the company retained ownership of the land. The property was subsequently sold to Regent Properties for approximately $73 million.
