Regent Seven Seas Cruises cuts suite count, adds larger suites on three Explorer-class ships
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced a redesign of the accommodations on its three Explorer‑class vessels – Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Grandeur. Each ship will reduce its total suite inventory from 373 to 344, eliminating 29 suites per vessel, to provide more space per guest.
The line is expanding its Veranda Suites into the largest entry‑level suites in the ultra‑luxury segment, increasing their size from about 307 sq ft to between 415 and 464 sq ft and adding walk‑in closets, double vanities and private balconies. New Horizon Penthouse Suites, first seen on Seven Seas Prestige, will join the Explorer class, ranging from 616 to 722 sq ft with oversized balconies, a separate bedroom, full bath and living area. Additionally, three Distinctive Suites per ship, measuring 821 to 918 sq ft, will be added, featuring a king‑size bed, sitting‑dining area, 1½ marble‑and‑stone bathrooms and a large balcony.
Dry‑dock work is scheduled for 2027‑2028: Seven Seas Splendor in November 2027, Seven Seas Explorer in April 2028, and Seven Seas Grandeur in October 2028. President Wesley D’Silva said the upgrades reflect the company’s “relentless pursuit of perfection” and a commitment to raising the standard of ultra‑luxury travel.
