Reggae music charts see high debuts and new leaders

The Billboard Reggae Albums Chart has seen significant activity, with numerous debuts from American and Jamaican artists over the last two years. In 2025, Jamaican artists accounted for 55% of the 11 new entries. Notable debuts included the American band Stick Figure with ‘Free Flow Sessions’ at No. 2 and Sister Nancy with ‘One, Two’ at No. 3. In 2026, Jamaican dancehall artist Masicka achieved the year's highest debut so far with ‘Forever Reign’ at No. 4, followed by Tampa-based artist DESTIN CONRAD with ‘ROWDYRUNNER’ at No. 5.

On the singles front, the Caribbean EMagazine Reggae Chart for August 2026 saw Stephen Marley reach the top spot with ‘Hills of St. Ann’. The track climbed steadily throughout the summer to secure its position. Other notable movements on the singles chart include new entry Vernal Sage with ‘Good Over Evil’, alongside continued presence from established artists such as Buju Banton and Ky-Mani Marley.
