Lazio secures Serie A victory amid 10 million euro annual loss

Lazio has demonstrated mixed results both on the pitch and in its financial accounts. On the field, the team secured a victory against Venezia in Serie A, moving level with Inter at the top of the standings with 13 points after five matches. The win was highlighted by a penalty save from Mandas and goals from Zaccagni and Noslin. Under coach Gennaro Gattuso, the team has also shown defensive solidity, conceding only three goals in five matches despite losing key players like Romagnoli and Gila.

Financially, however, the club reported a loss of 10 million euros for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. While this is an improvement from the previous year's 17.2 million euro deficit, the club continues to face challenges. Significant capital gains from player transfers, including the sales of Castellanos, Guendouzi, and Tchaouna, helped boost total revenue to approximately 173.7 million euros. Despite these gains, rising operational costs and personnel expenses, which reached 104.6 million euros, contributed to the deficit. Additionally, the club's net debt increased to 126.4 million euros, and available liquidity decreased to 1.84 million euros.
