Reggie Dinkins mockumentary returns for second season on NBC

The NBC mockumentary series ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ is returning for a second season, premiering on Monday, Nov. 2, at 8:30 p.m. The show follows disgraced former football star Reggie Dinkins, played by Tracy Morgan, as he attempts to repair his public image with the assistance of documentary filmmaker Arthur Tobin, portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe.

Co-executive producer Phil Augusta Jackson and actor Jalyn Hall, who plays Reggie’s son Carmelo, noted that the new season aims to build upon established characters and heighten the comedy. The series utilizes a mockumentary format to explore the dynamics of a Black family, aiming to present relatable characters alongside humor. The ensemble cast also includes Erika Alexander, Precious Way, and Bobby Moynihan.
