Reggio Calabria: 27 migrants arrive via NGO vessel Oyvon

The NGO vessel Oyvon arrived at the port of Reggio Calabria on the night of October 6, carrying 27 migrants. The group consists of 25 men and two women, with individuals identified as originating from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Senegal, and Mali.

Among those on board are seven unaccompanied foreign minors, a category requiring specific legal protections and assistance under Italian law. Following the arrival, the migrants underwent administrative and health checks. They are scheduled to be transferred to various reception centers across Italy as part of the Ministry of the Interior’s procedures.
