Reggio Calabria cancels concerts following fatal motorcycle accident
A fatal motorcycle accident on the Calopinace ramps in Reggio Calabria has claimed the life of 23-year-old Anthea Ranieri. The driver, a 22-year-old man, remains in critical condition following delicate surgery at the Grande Ospedale Metropolitano.
In response to the tragedy, Mayor Francesco Cannizzaro announced the cancellation of two major musical events scheduled for Saturday evening as part of the Marian Festivities. The cancelled events include the Emis Killa concert in Piazza Indipendenza and the ‘Live Show Anni ’90’ at the Arena dello Stretto. The Mayor stated the decision was a sign of respect and mourning for the community, aiming to unite the city in prayer for the victims.
