Reggio Calabria Chamber of Commerce launches Bergarè 2026 window contest

The Reggio Calabria Chamber of Commerce has launched the ‘Best Window of Bergarè 2026’ contest to promote the bergamot citrus fruit and local identity. The initiative is part of the upcoming ‘Bergarè – Identity and Territory’ event, scheduled to take place from October 22 to 25, 2026, at the Aragonese Castle.

Designed to engage the local business community, the contest invites companies within the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria to create bergamot-themed window displays. Antonino Tramontana, President of the Chamber of Commerce, described bergamot as the region’s ‘green gold’ and a unique global excellence that represents the area's economic potential.

The contest is open to businesses of any sector that have a storefront on a public area and are registered in the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria. Participation is free, and interested businesses must submit their application by October 19, 2026.
