Reggio Calabria hosts Bergarè 2026 bergamot festival

The fifth edition of the Bergarè festival, dedicated to the bergamot citrus fruit, is set to take place from October 22 to 25, 2026, in Reggio Calabria. Centered at the Castello Aragonese and Piazza Castello, the event follows the theme ‘Identity and Territory’ to showcase the fruit's versatility in perfumery, pastry, and high-end cuisine.

The program includes a cocktail competition featuring local bartenders and live cooking demonstrations by various chefs and pastry masters. A dedicated ‘Bergarè Village’ market will be established outside the castle in collaboration with local trade associations to highlight the region's agricultural excellence.
