Reggio Calabria hosts Premio Cosmos 2026 and jazz festival

Reggio Calabria is hosting several cultural and scientific events in October 2026. The Premio Cosmos 2026, an international initiative dedicated to science popularization, physics, and astronomy, is taking place from October 9 to 11. Promoted by the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria in collaboration with partners such as the Italian Astronomical Society (SAIt), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), and various universities, the event includes workshops, author meetings, and lectures. It features participation from Italian schools and Italian schools abroad.

In Pisa, the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) is presenting ‘L’Astro Parlante’ as part of the Internet Festival 2026. This event explores the Moon through a blend of scientific discovery and literary readings, featuring music and discussions on cosmic knowledge.

Additionally, the 16th edition of the ‘Reggio in Jazz’ festival will run from October 17 to December 4 at the Cine Teatro Odeon in Reggio Calabria. The festival features international artists and includes a tribute to Miles Davis on its opening night.
