Reggio Calabria hosts GAIA Festival and announces L’Oasi expansion

Reggio Calabria is hosting the final four days of the GAIA Festival, titled ‘Futuro Prossimo | Mediterraneo Presente,’ running from October 28 to October 31. The event features a diverse program including scientific debates, artistic performances, and musical acts held across various historical venues such as the Aragonese Castle and the National Museum. Highlights include the ‘Morgana Acque Libere’ performance by Katia Colica and a conference-concert regarding territorial culture and environmental fragility.

In local business news, the historic L’Oasi establishment is expanding its operations to include year-round service. Starting November 6, the newly renovated ‘Terrazze dell’Oasi’ will open as a bistrot overlooking the Strait. Managed by Antonio Cormaci, the project aims to transition the venue from a seasonal summer location to a multi-season destination offering a diverse menu that includes sushi, pizza, meat, fish, and traditional Italian cuisine.
