Reggio Calabria to host international Greek art exhibition

The National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria will host the international exhibition ‘Ispirazioni. Vite italiane dell’arte greca’ from October 22 to December 31, 2026. Following a previous stage at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, the exhibition focuses on the transformations of Greek art across the Mediterranean.

Promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture as part of the ‘Piano Olivetti per la cultura’, the project highlights the historical and cultural ties between Greece and Italy. The exhibition aims to showcase the shared history of exchange and mutual influence between the two nations, utilizing the museum’s collections from Magna Graecia and the famous Riace Bronzes to deepen understanding of these connections.
