Reggio Emilia PD launches participatory project for future elections

The Democratic Party (PD) in Reggio Emilia has launched ‘Quaderno aperto’ (Open Notebook), a participatory project designed to map local needs ahead of the 2027 general elections and 2029 administrative elections.

The initiative involves 55 local circles and is open to all residents, not just party members. The project aims to collect concrete proposals across four key thematic areas: healthcare and welfare, labor, ecological transition, and fundamental rights, including housing, security, and equal opportunities.

Local leaders, including provincial secretary Massimo Gazza and Vice Mayor Lanfranco de Franco, stated that the assemblies will serve as forums for community input rather than traditional conferences. The resulting document is intended to act as a political compass for the province. The process is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and conclude in early next year.
