Reggio Emilia police arrest teen after pharmacy robbery and investigate assault of 32‑year‑old woman

On 26 June, a 17‑year‑old resident of Reggio Emilia entered the Coviolo pharmacy armed with a gas‑pistol replica and forced the pharmacist to hand over about €150. The suspect fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later near a park after a police chase. He was arrested in flagrante delicto for aggravated robbery and placed in a community‑based measure pending further investigation.

In the early hours of 4 July, Carabinieri responded to a violent incident on Via Agosti in Reggio Emilia. A 32‑year‑old woman was attacked from behind by three men, believed to be of foreign origin, sustaining visible abrasions. She received first aid on site and was taken by ambulance to the local emergency department. The assailants escaped and the investigation into their motives and identities remains ongoing.
