Reggio Emilia strengthens civil protection and launches charity cycle to Brussels

The Municipality of Reggio Emilia has strengthened its civil protection network by renewing an agreement with the Associazione Nazionale Alpini (ANA). This partnership allows for the free use of the Polveriera headquarters and leverages the expertise, equipment, and personnel of the Alpini to support territory protection and safety prevention.

In a separate community initiative, a group from Reggio Emilia known as ‘La Pandita’ is launching a charity cycling journey to Brussels. Starting August 29, the group aims to raise 18,000 euros to support ‘All Inclusive Sport,’ a project providing inclusive sports activities for children with disabilities. The journey will carry Parmigiano Reggiano to Belgium, where the group is scheduled to be received at the European Parliament on September 9 to promote both the local gastronomy and the solidarity project.
