Reggion Basket Popolare Honored by Reggio Calabria Council for Second Consecutive CSI Title

Reggion Basket Popolare secured its second straight Italian CSI Open 2025/2026 championship, defeating Alci Basket Verona in the final held in Asti. The victory marks a repeat of the club's national success and underscores the strength of the Reggio Calabria sporting community.

On 27 July, the team was officially recognized by the municipal authorities at Palazzo San Giorgio. Council President Federico Milia presented the award in the Sala dei Lampadari, while mayor Francesco Cannizzo praised the squad’s dedication and its role in promoting the city’s name across Italy. The ceremony highlighted both the sporting achievement and its broader cultural impact on Reggio Calabria.
