Regimento de Cavalaria n.º 3 celebrates 319 years in Estremoz

The Regimento de Cavalaria n.º 3 (RC3) celebrated its 319th anniversary and the Day of the Cavalry Arm with a military ceremony in Estremoz, Portugal. The event was presided over by the Chief of the Army Staff, General Eduardo Ferrão, and included tributes to military personnel throughout the unit's history.

As part of the celebrations, an exhibition titled ‘From the Horse to the LEOPARD 2A6 Combat Vehicle in Theater of Operations’ was inaugurated. The display traces the technological evolution of the Portuguese Cavalry, showcasing equipment ranging from traditional horses and bicycles to vehicles used during the Overseas War and modern Leopard 2A6 tanks.
