Regina Cassandra alleges regional bias by Dharma Productions

Actress Regina Cassandra has alleged that Dharma Productions failed to acknowledge or tag her during social media promotions for the film Kesari 2. Despite playing the role of Akshay Kumar’s wife and appearing in a featured song, Cassandra stated she was left out of promotional activities without explanation.

During an interview, Cassandra questioned if the lack of recognition was due to her being a South Indian actress, suggesting a potential regional bias. She also addressed recent comments from actors Janhvi Kapoor and Radhika Apte regarding their experiences in the film industry.

Cassandra criticized remarks that contribute to a North-South divide within the Indian film industry. She argued that if actors feel uncomfortable with their character portrayals or project concepts, they should exercise their freedom to walk away from the projects during production rather than addressing the issues after release.
