Regina scaffolding collapse injures two men

Two men sustained non-life-threatening injuries following a scaffolding collapse on Hamilton Street in downtown Regina on Tuesday afternoon. The incident, described by police as a “workplace accident,” occurred around 2 p.m. near The Hamilton building and 12th Avenue.

Emergency responders, including police, fire, and EMS, arrived at the scene where metal pieces and tree branches were scattered across the road. One witness reported that debris and bricks fell onto a vehicle as her family was exiting their car.

Police and Occupational Health and Safety officials remained on the scene to investigate. Hamilton Street was closed to both vehicles and pedestrians between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue.
