Reginaldo Faria film ‘Perto do Sol é Mais Claro’ premieres on Canal Brasil

The film ‘Perto do Sol é Mais Claro’ is set to premiere on Canal Brasil this Tuesday, September 29, at 21:30. Directed and written by Regis Faria, the movie features his father, actor Reginaldo Faria, in the lead role.

The story follows Regi, an 85-year-old engineer from Rio de Janeiro, as he navigates the recent loss of his wife. Supported by his children, the narrative explores themes of grief, aging, vitality, and creativity as the protagonist attempts to write a book and finds new love.

The production has previously been screened at the Rio Festival and received awards at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival, including Best Actor for Reginaldo Faria and Best Soundtrack. It also received an Honorable Mention at the Cuiabá Film Festival.
