RegioJet proposes new international rail routes from Poland

Czech rail operator RegioJet has submitted four applications to the Polish Office of Rail Transport (UTK) to launch new international connections starting in December 2027. The proposed routes are intended to run daily for a five-year period ending in 2032.

The planned services include direct connections from Warsaw to Sankt Anton am Arlberg in the Austrian Alps, Katowice to Rijeka in Croatia, Warsaw to Prague, and Przemyśl to Vienna. The route to the Austrian Alps is designed to provide a more affordable and convenient alternative to seasonal ski charters.

Additionally, the Katowice to Rijeka line aims to offer year-round service, potentially competing with seasonal offerings like PKP Intercity’s Adriatic Express. The routes will utilize key transit points such as Bogumin and Ostrava.
