Region Sjælland transfers vulnerable patients to Køge hospital

Region Sjælland is conducting a large-scale transfer of approximately 35 vulnerable patients on Sunday. The operation involves moving patients from cancer and blood disease departments in Roskilde and Næstved to Sjællands Universitetshospital in Køge, where they will transition to single-occupancy rooms.

To facilitate this move, 22 ambulances and patient transport vehicles are operating between Næstved, Roskilde, and Køge. This logistical undertaking follows several years of preparation, including a trial run conducted in August.
