Region Østdanmark unveils inaugural budget for transport and rail

Region Østdanmark has released its first budget, which includes eight million kroner allocated to the development of collective transport. Regional Council Chairman Lars Gaardhøj stated that the agreement establishes a solid economic foundation to improve regional cohesion through transport and education.

The budget also includes one million kroner to prepare a long-term modernization plan for local railways, an undertaking estimated to cost approximately four billion kroner.

In a separate development within the region, Region Sjælland reported that a targeted recruitment drive has successfully secured 91 doctors and 47 nurses for its hospitals, following a 102.6 million kroner allocation approved in January.
