Regional advancements in renewable energy and aviation technology
In Sarajevo, innovator Enes Hodžić has developed a patent for reversible turbines designed for household mini-power plants. This technology aims to enable local electricity production, potentially reducing the reliance on coal and wood heating, which are primary contributors to air pollution in Bosnia and Herzegovina during winter months. Hodžić has further enhanced the patent to integrate solar energy, offering a solution for both residential and business sectors and supporting the infrastructure needed for electric vehicles.
In Montenegro, the ICAO Air Navigation World – CNSS 2026 symposium has commenced in Kotor. Organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Federation of Air Traffic Aviators (IFATSEA), the event focuses on advancing aviation systems and international cooperation. Montenegrin Transport Minister Radoš Zečević emphasized that improving air connectivity and airport infrastructure is a strategic priority to boost the country's visibility, investment, and economic integration with Europe.
