Regional agricultural and social developments in Turkey

In Biga, residents have expressed concerns regarding the lack of diverse social and cultural events. While the district is often described as a ‘locomotive of Southern Marmara,’ citizens note that most large-scale organizations are limited to the annual Agricultural Fair. This lack of variety, compared to neighboring districts like Çan or Lapseki, reportedly causes residents to spend their time and money in other regions.

Meanwhile, in Büyükçiftlik, a harvest festival was held in collaboration with the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. During the event, Yüksekova District Governor Volkan Hülür emphasized the necessity of supporting farmers and highlighted the potential for regional growth through the integration of agriculture, tourism, industry, and trade. Büyükçiftlik Mayor Çayan Çiçek also reaffirmed the commitment of local authorities to support producers, noting the global importance of agriculture.
