Maricá hosts Expo Rural and prepares for Expo Cultural 2026

Maricá is hosting a series of events aimed at boosting the local agricultural and cultural sectors. The first edition of Expo Rural Maricá recently concluded its first weekend at the Espraiado Exhibition Park. The free event featured livestock competitions, rodeos, and musical performances by artists such as César Menotti & Fabiano, Simone Mendes, and Zé Felipe.

Organized by the Maricá City Hall through the Companhia de Cultura e Turismo (MARÉ) and the Secretariat of Agriculture, the Expo Rural seeks to establish the municipality as a regional hub for agribusiness and sustainable tourism. Officials noted that the event aims to provide economic returns and showcase the potential of the Espraiado region.

Following these activities, the Expo Cultural Maricá 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27. This upcoming event will also be held in the Espraiado region and will feature musical acts including Wesley Safadão, Gustavo Mioto, and Nathanzinho Lima, alongside local gastronomy and crafts. Additionally, the city is promoting professional development through the Cozinha Criativa Project, which provides free gastronomy training focused on sustainability and food waste reduction.
