Regional agricultural events highlight Brazilian family farming and aquaculture
Various regional agricultural and productive events are taking place across Brazil, focusing on family farming, aquaculture, and rural development.
In Pernambuco, the municipality of Goiana will participate in the 33rd Agrinordeste fair in Olinda from September 3 to 6. The event features over 300 exhibitors and expects 35,000 visitors. Goiana will utilize two stands to showcase and sell local family farming products, including ornamental plants and handicrafts.
In Ceará, the II Festival do Camarão do Vale do Jaguaribe is scheduled for September 4 and 5 in Aracati. Organized by the Association of Shrimp Producers of Ceará (APCC), the festival includes a business fair with 80 stands and a gastronomic fair with 20 restaurants to promote the regional shrimp industry.
In Bahia, the 6th Territorial Fair of Family Farming of the Northeast Semi-arid II was held in Cícero Dantas from August 27 to 29. The event focused on agroecology and climate coexistence. Additionally, the Bahiater technical assistance program currently serves over 2,600 families in the region to support food and water security.
