Regional art exhibitions and open studios scheduled for August 2026

Various art events are scheduled for August 2026 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In Valašské Klobouky, the Výtvarný spolek Vincúch will host Open Studio Days on August 21 and 22. The event includes a ceremonial vernissage at Galerie Vincúch featuring Jitka Kudelová, whose work focuses on portraits and landscapes with Wallachian themes. Visitors can observe several artists at work, participate in workshops led by Jiří Ročák, Jitka Juřenčáková, Martin Cigánek, and Amélie Janíková, and purchase artworks.

In Senica, Slovakia, an exhibition titled ‘Keď niekto zavolá, položím štetec’ by Miloslav Pavúček will open on August 27 at Galerie LM. Pavúček, a taxi driver and painter, creates oil paintings based on photographs, focusing on traditional genres such as landscapes, architecture, and still lifes. His work is characterized by a sense of calm and the ability to pause the creative process to accommodate his professional life.
