Regional art exhibitions feature works by Darko Đurović and Duško Šibl

Academic painter Darko Đurović has opened a solo exhibition titled ‘Pogled kroz dugu’ (A View Through the Rainbow) at the Velimir A. Leković Art Gallery in Bar. Part of the 39th Barski ljetopis festival, the exhibition features 25 paintings of various sizes. The works explore human nature, spirituality, and contemporary society through a lens described as realistic rather than surrealist, focusing on the complexities of human behavior.

In Koprivnica, academic painter Duško Šibl is presenting his work in the exhibition ‘Artikulacija figure i amplituda identiteta’ (Articulation of Figure and Amplitudes of Identity). Held at the city gallery in collaboration with the Jewish communities of Koprivnica and Zagreb, the exhibition showcases approximately 40 paintings. The collection spans from his expressionist works of the 1990s to previously unexhibited pieces created this year. The event also highlights the recent renovation of the Koprivnica synagogue, which has been repurposed as a cultural center.
