Sarajevo and Dalmatia artists bridge cultures through new exhibitions

The Pontes exhibition, a collaborative project between the HKD Napredak Association of Fine Artists from Sarajevo and the Krug Fine Arts Association from Dugog Rat, is currently on display at the AZ Gallery in Omiš. The exhibition serves as a continuation of an artistic partnership aimed at fostering dialogue and trust between the two regions, blending the cultural influences of Sarajevo with the Mediterranean character of Dalmatia.

In Sarajevo, the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened the “Hodler and Jeanne: Painter – Model – Collection” exhibition, alongside a performance titled “The Persistence of Presence” by Swiss artist Simon Berger. This project, held in cooperation with the Swiss Embassy, explores the works of Swiss modern master Ferdinand Hodler and the personal history of his muse, Jeanne Charles, whose connection to Bosnia and Herzegovina helped preserve the collection in Sarajevo. The exhibition is scheduled to remain open until October 10, 2026.
