Regional blood donation drives collect dozens of units across Banja Luka, Nikšić, and Gračanica
Various blood donation drives and recognition events have taken place across the region to bolster medical supplies and encourage volunteerism.
In Banja Luka, the University Clinical Center collected approximately 50 doses of blood. Acting General Director Nikola Šobot announced that the center intends to introduce priority medical examination terms for blood donors to recognize their contributions. Additionally, the University Clinical Center and the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors of the City of Banja Luka signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate faster hospitalization for donors.
In Nikšić, a donation campaign titled ‘Save a Life – It is in Your Blood’ collected 50 units of blood at Freedom Square. The Red Cross Nikšić reported that the campaign aims to attract younger donors, noting that several students and high schoolers participated.
In Gračanica, the Red Cross City Organization held an annual gathering for 54 donors to honor frequent contributors. During the event, Mirsad Maglajlić was recognized for his record-breaking 118 blood donations.
