Regional blood donation drives held across Croatia and Slovenia

Multiple blood donation drives have been organized across Croatia and Slovenia to support medical institutions and ensure sufficient blood supplies.

In Delnice, Croatia, a summer donation campaign collected 202 units of blood, highlighting high awareness among donors in the Gorski Kotar region. Similarly, in Rijeka, a large-scale action at the Zamet Sports Hall resulted in 106 units collected from 137 participants, including several local athletes and 15 new donors.

In Slovenia, the ‘Violet Blood for All People’ event at Ljudski vrt saw significant participation from families, athletes, and coaches. Meanwhile, the City Red Cross Society of Donja Stubica, in collaboration with the Croatian Institute for Transfusion Medicine, has scheduled a donation drive for September 2 at the Hotel Zagi in Oroslavje.
