Regional boards in Opole and Podkarpackie address agriculture and local funding
The Opole Chamber of Agriculture held a meeting to discuss regional agricultural management and the current challenges facing farms. Key topics included the distribution of state-owned agricultural land and the evaluation criteria used in KOWR tenders. The Board is analyzing these processes to ensure they support the growth of family farms and provide fair access to land for active farmers. Additionally, the meeting addressed the impact of extreme temperatures, reaching 35–40°C, and drought on local agricultural production.
In the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, the regional board made several decisions regarding local support and cultural heritage. This includes funding to restore information accessibility for visually impaired individuals on the ‘See Solina’ trail. The board also announced the call for applications for the Franciszek Kotula Award for cultural heritage and allocated funds for physical activity programs for children and youth scheduled for 2026–2027. Other discussions focused on social and vocational rehabilitation support.
