Regional business leaders in Brazil advocate for economic integration
In Rio Grande do Sul, the Federação Varejista do RS is advocating for closer dialogue between regional business leaders and government officials. During the ‘Agenda Eleições 2026’ event in Farroupilha, President Ivonei Pioner emphasized the need for a permanent communication channel to ensure the economic importance of the Serra region is recognized by state and federal authorities. The federation presented a technical document containing priority proposals to guide the government programs of future elected officials.
Meanwhile, in Paraná, business leaders are focusing on expanding the tourism industry along the state's coast. At the Conexão Litoral event in Pontal do Paraná, Adonai Arruda Filho, director-general of Serra Verde Express, argued that the region must transform its natural potential into structured products and experiences. The discussions, involving representatives from Sebrae/PR, CVC Corp, and Viação Graciosa, highlighted the necessity of integration between municipalities and the private sector to increase competitiveness and tourist stay duration.
