Regional celebrations held in Sumenep and South Sulawesi

In Sumenep, the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) organized a healthy walk event to foster closer ties between legislators and the community. Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo emphasized the importance of humanist politics, noting that such activities allow officials to interact with citizens outside formal settings. He stressed that while social activities build rapport, addressing public services, infrastructure, and health remains the primary responsibility of the government.

In South Sulawesi, tens of thousands of residents gathered in Makassar to celebrate the province's 357th anniversary. The event featured a healthy walk and a food self-sufficiency parade involving representatives from 24 regencies and cities. Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman and Vice Governor Fatmawati Rusdi led the festivities, which included a parade showcasing local agricultural products and regional identities to highlight the province's resource wealth.
