Regional Chambers of Commerce present business excellence awards

The Cold Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce held its 2026 Business of the Year Awards at the Hotel Dene & Conference Centre to conclude Small Business Week. The ceremony honored eight recipients for their leadership and contributions to the region. Notable winners included Hamel’s Meats as Outstanding Large Business, Boathouse Bowling for Outstanding Small Business, and 1948 Authentic Mediterranean Taste as Most Promising New Business.

In Williams Lake, the 29th annual Business Excellence Awards, organized by the Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce, recognized local economic contributors. Rapid Response Training received the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, while Freshco was honored with the Greatest Improvement award. The evening’s top honor, the Ken Wilson Memorial Business of the Year Judge’s Choice Award, was presented to Roofplus Roofing & Sheet Metal.
