Regional children's centers host community festivals and camps

Local children's centers in Taebaek and Haman recently held joint festivals and camps to promote social interaction and community spirit among youth.

In Taebaek, the 22nd ‘Let’s Be Together Our Duri Camp’ brought together approximately 500 participants, including 330 children from 12 local centers, their families, and residents. The event featured creative art exhibitions, food booths, and performances such as choir, dance, and musical instrument recitals. The Taebaek City government expressed its intention to continue supporting diverse cultural and experiential activities for local children.

In Haman, the 2026 Haman-gun Local Children's Center Joint Camp (Hanmaeum Festival) was held at the National Youth Marine Center in Yeongdeok. Approximately 90 children and staff from four local centers participated in specialized marine programs, including ocean exploration and safety training. The program aimed to foster cooperation and community awareness through maritime experiences.
