Regional community events scheduled in Austria and Germany

Various regional community events are scheduled for early September in Austria and Germany.

In Tulln, Austria, Praskac Pflanzenland will host a creative event for children on September 5, 2026. Under the theme ‘Let the letters fly!’, children are invited to write short stories, compose poems, or draw between 10:00 and 16:00. Participants who create a small work may receive a free children's book, provided supplies last.

In Bliesransbach, Germany, the Hartungshof farm and Bliesgau Ölmühle are hosting a ‘Sunflower Day’ on September 4, 2026. The event highlights the growing importance of sunflowers as a climate-resilient oilseed crop. Due to changing weather patterns, sunflowers have become more viable for farmers compared to previous decades, as they can withstand heat and drought better than other crops like rapeseed.
