Regional community festivals held in Aegidienberg and St. Aegidi

Several traditional community festivals took place in early September 2026. In Aegidienberg, Germany, the three-day Riefkooche-Kirmes was held, beginning with a ceremonial barrel tapping at Aegidiusplatz. Organized by the Liederkranz singing club and the Aegidienberg village youth, the event featured musical performances and a traditional pan handover to the KG Klääv Botz association.

In St. Aegidi, Austria, the Sauwald-Erdäpfel-Kirtag attracted approximately 5,500 visitors. The event included a meeting of 80 vintage tractors and a district civil protection and security day featuring demonstrations by fire departments, the Red Cross, and police. The festivities also included a children's olympiad and musical performances by bands such as Tagtraeumer and Greyfather.
