In the Myoko Kogen district, the 21st annual Sports Festival brought together approximately 400 participants from 10 different areas. The event featured 11 competitive categories, including a quiz organized by local junior high school students and a hula hoop relay. The Akakura district secured its second consecutive victory.
In Fukushima City, the BTR Fukushima eSports Festival 2026 was held at the Civic Center. As one of the largest eSports events in Fukushima Prefecture, it featured competitions in titles such as ‘Taiko no Tatsujin’, ‘Gran Turismo 7’, and ‘Puyo Puyo’. The festival aimed to engage multiple generations through gaming, food stalls, and traditional festival booths. Organizers, including Denon Engineering and zeroone, emphasized using eSports as a tool to promote regional charm and community connection.
