Regional conference focuses on digital transformation in agriculture
A regional conference titled “Smart and Precision Agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans” was held in Sarajevo to discuss the application of digital technologies in agricultural production.
The event is part of a regional project, “Using technology for precision agriculture in BiH and Serbia,” supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and TeleGroup d. o. o. Implementation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is led by the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska and the Association for Economic Development REDAH, while the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) manages the program in Serbia.
The project aims to enhance precision agriculture through technologies such as agricultural drones, digital insect monitoring traps, plant nutrient analysis devices, and the AgroLife software platform. These tools are intended to improve crop monitoring, resource efficiency, and decision-making for agricultural cooperatives and local communities.
