Regional court rulings address public order disturbances and assaults

In Croatia, the Municipal Court in Čakovec issued a non-final decision regarding a fight that occurred in Podturen on November 8, 2025. The incident, which began at a birthday celebration and spilled into the street, involved several minors and one adult. One participant sustained a four-centimeter facial wound. The court ruled that the group disturbed public order and peace. The adult defendant was fined 300 euros plus 50 euros in court costs, while the minors received educational measures and a requirement to complete 40 hours of community service.

In Serbia, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Niš has requested a three-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 30,000 dinars for medical student Arsenije Milosavljević. The prosecution alleges that on March 21, 2024, Milosavljević engaged in violent behavior at a public gathering by throwing eggs at Mayor Dragoslav Pavlović. The defense has argued for acquittal, contending that the act did not constitute physical force and that the mayor was not at a public gathering at the time of the incident. A verdict is scheduled for September 7.
