Regional craft exhibitions draw visitors in Austria and Germany

The Salzkammergut Turning Days in Austria attracted approximately 1,600 visitors between October 9 and 11. Held at the Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut under the theme ‘Art of Turning | Craft#Art’26’, the event featured international artists including Alain Mailland from France and Marco Bellini from Italy, alongside Austrian master Stephan Feichtinger. The program spanned historical techniques to contemporary art, including live demonstrations and exhibitions.

In Meerholz, Germany, the VfR 09 Meerholz support association announced a record number of 51 hobby artists for its upcoming exhibition on November 15. The event, which features ceramics, woodwork, and knitting, saw high demand with approximately 60 applications for available space, necessitating a lottery system to select participants.
