Club Calagurris Atlético wins La Rioja cross country championship

Club Calagurris Atlético has been crowned the regional champion of cross country by teams at the 34th Cross de Santo Domingo de la Calzada. The competition for the La Rioja Club Championship saw the Calagurris team, featuring Pablo Cristóbal, Ismael Tomé, Valentín Lana, Carlos Pérez, Juan Garrido, and Javier Hita, secure a clear victory over the host club, Club Atletismo Calceatense, who finished as runners-up.

In the individual absolute category, Héctor Miguel Fuertes of the Galician club Adas Cupa took first place on the 7.5-kilometer course. Valentín Lana and Ismael Tomé of Calagurris followed in second and third place, respectively. The master category was won by Jesús Fernández of Adas Cupa.

Other notable results include Beronia winning the mixed relay and securing several individual victories in the Sub-20, Sub-18, and Sub-16 categories. The event saw participation from nearly 300 athletes across various age groups and categories.
