Regional culinary festivals held in Patti and Cropani

Various local cultural and gastronomic events took place in Italy. In Patti, the ‘Amore per Patti’ event was held to promote regional culinary excellence and territorial marketing. The evening featured world champion pizzaiolo Giovanni Di Santo, who created a specialized pizza using local ingredients and a slow-leavening dough. The event also included an acrobatic pizza demonstration by Paolino Bucca.

In Cropani, the 18th edition of ‘Piccantissima Sera’ drew large crowds to the seafront. The highlight of the festival was the chili pepper eating competition, won by Lakhwinder Kaur, also known as ‘Polí’. Kaur, a two-time Italian champion, dedicated her victory to women. The event also featured tastings of local chili peppers and a performance by the historical group ‘Il Giardino dei Semplici’.
