Smaki Regionów fair celebrates Polish regional culinary heritage

The Smaki Regionów (Flavors of the Regions) fair, held at the Poznań International Fair, showcased traditional culinary heritage from various Polish provinces. The event, patronized by Marek Woźniak, Marshal of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, serves as a platform for regional producers to promote natural and traditional food products.

Several producers received prestigious awards during the event. The company Wanilia i Migdały, run by Małgorzata and Rafał Zacharski, earned a Smaki Regionów Medal for their ‘Miodownik z kremem grysikowym’. From the Łódź Voivodeship, producers presented specialties such as piotrkowski jałowiec and prażoki z kwoskiem from the Ręczno municipality.

In the Wielkopolska region, medals were awarded to Okręgowa Spółdzielnia Mleczarska w Śremie for gzik śremski, Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Września for kefir wrzesiński, and Smaki Tradycji for sausage in a jar. The fair aims to certify quality and provide a stage for the country’s most elite regional food producers.
